Crypto Exchange Sanctioned, Again

OFAC has re-designated the cryptocurrency exchange Garantex Europe OU and sanctioned its successor, Grinex, along with three senior executives and six affiliated companies in Russia and the Kyrgyz Republic. OFAC had originally sanctioned Garantex on April 5, 2022. Those sanctions were later lifted after the exchange committed to enhanced compliance measures.
