Agency IGs to Examine CCL, USML

For years, U.S. exporters have griped over the difficulty of dealing with the various control lists that are foisted on export compliance departments. The tow main lists--The Commerce Control List and the U.S. Munitions Lists--are the prime source of confusion and regulatory overlap. Inspectors general from several agencies are now trying to set reform proposals in motion.
