Clinton Administration Pledges May Initiative on Computer Decontrols

Commerce Department export control Assistant Secretary Roger Majak told a Senate panel on March 16 that computer controls levels would have to rise to between 4,000 and 5,000 Mtops to avoid controlling the next generation of personal computers. Getting that done requires a little more than talk, however.
