House Committee Grills Computer Industry, Administration

The House Armed Services Committee has gained a reputation as Congress' premier obstructor of export control liberalization. At an Oct. 28 hearing, the committee was careful not to allow that reputation to crumble, as it cross-examined industry and administration officials over the logic of the White House's July computer decontrol.
