The Statement of Principles on High Tech goods is part of a larger economic cooperation effort between the U.S. and India. Although lacking in specifics, the Agreement is a rough outline designed to increase the U.S.-Indian dialogue. Commerce hopes that the new U.S./India relationship will help U.S. companies tap the vast reserves of the billion-strong Indian market.
