Justice Asks for Rehearing of Encryption Ruling

To the surprise of no one, the Justice Department has asked a federal court to reconsider its ruling that vacated U.S. encryption export controls on First Amendment grounds. In its brief, Justice argued that encryption source code doesn't qualify as a mode of expression traditionally protected by the Constitution
