Lawmakers Urge Rubio, Bessent to Reimpose Balkan Sanctions

A bipartisan group of senators and House members is pressing Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to reimpose sanctions on former Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and associated figures, arguing that Dodik’s conduct since last year’s U.S. delisting shows he remains a threat to the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
