U.S. warns against “Made in Europe” procurement limits

The U.S. administration has warned European officials against embedding “Made in Europe” purchasing preferences into the European Union’s next multiannual budget, arguing that tighter EU-only sourcing rules would undercut allied defense production, slow deliveries to Ukraine, and fracture transatlantic industrial cooperation at a moment of sustained rearmament.
